Operations Manager—

Job Description: Responsible for the management of production control and operations of all inventories (material, supplies, and finished goods). Position currently has several direct reports and reports directly to the President.  Accountable in daily production meetings and involved in significant interface with Sales/Marketing and QA departments.

 

Required Qualifications/Can Do Factors:

Minimum five years management experience.

Minimum 10 years working in a production/manufacturing environment.

Knowledge in inventory control procedures.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Proven capability of creating and implementing improvements with procedures and personnel.

Experience in distribution, warehouse traffic, or production planning is a plus.

Vantage experience is very desirable; other software experience (such as Oracle, SAP, ASK) may substitute for Vantage experience; extra consideration given if individual participated in the implementation.

Production Supervisor, Swing shift—

Hours are 2pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday, currently supervising 13 direct employees with approx. 17 employees in other areas.   Leadership, providing direction, decision-making, coaching, and problem-solving abilities required. Position reports to the President.

                                                        

Duties: 

Monitor employees, prioritize work, achieve quality and quantity daily, confirm safety procedures are followed, maintain charts that show skill levels, address problems and issues with employees when they occur, complete annual focal reviews, and facilitate cross training. Make sure each area is covered by monitoring scheduled and unscheduled PTO. Hold regular monthly employee meetings. Keep management informed of problems or issues, primarily via daily meetings with peers and in MRB meetings. Coach and teach employees so they perform well. (MBWA - management by walking around). Other duties and projects as assigned. Responsible for the shut down procedures, including securing the perimeter by checking all doors and setting alarm, as well as making sure all machinery is shut down and/or turned off.

 

Requirements:  Bachelors degree in business or chemical engineering or equivalent experience.  At least five years experience in manufacturing environment, preferably with semiconductor experience.  At least five years experience in a supervisory role.  Hands-on technical experience in a manufacturing environment.  Proficient in Word and Excel and generating reports off of computer systems.  Knowledge of Total Quality Management and exposure to ISO a plus.

 

 

Process Operator—One full-time, temp opening, day shift (6am to 2:30pm). Position is primarily working in circuit packaging, which has duties of: utilize tweezers to move circuits from 5" petri dish to 2" waffle packs, ready for shipment.  Work commonly is under the microscope.  Enter production information into the Vantage system via computer.

 

Position may also work in heat treat, with some 100% probe.  Duties there are: read work orders and study assembly drawings to determine heat treat operation to be performed.  Adjust heat treat machine/hot plate controls according to work order specifications.  Examine and test subs at various stages of production.

 

Process Operator, Photolithography Lab Responsible for processing thin-film substrates in the photolithography lab. 

 

Primary duties include cleaning, etching, plating and patterning substrates using both manual and semi-automated photolithographic processes. Will work with various types of photo-resist and developing chemicals; plating processes; semi-automated and manual etching processes; pattern aligners; and x-ray, alpha-step, and microscope-based measurement tools to manufacture a wide variety of thin-film products.

 

High school diploma or equivalent is required.  A minimum of two to five years wet lab or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple processes with varying specifications while ensuring a high degree of accuracy required.  Position reports to Photolithography Lab Supervisor.
